Description
Viralys Gel is a lysine supplement gel for cats. Viralys is recommended as an aid in the treatment of Feline Herpes Virus. Feline herpes virus is an upper respiratory virus of cats. It is also known as rhinotracheitis virus. It is very common among cats, especially in environments where there are multiple cats or new cats are constantly interacting. The virus is spread through the air and replicates in the upper respiratory tract. The gel has a palatable flavor cats will love.

Administration:
Each 1.25 mL (1/4 teaspoon) contains approximately 250 mg of L-Lysine in a palatable base. The suggested dose for cats over 6 months of age is 1.25 mL given orally twice daily. The suggested dose for kittens under 6 months of age is 0.65 mL (1/8 teaspoon) given orally twice daily. Adjust dosage as recommended by your veterinarian.

Ingredients:
Purified water, L-Lysine HCl, sodium carboxymethlcellulose, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, artificial sweetener, maple flavor, citric acid and riboflavin 5' - phosphate sodium.

Wonderful Product!

I've got 3 cats who have the Feline Herpes virus. Two of them are on the Vetri-Science Lysine Soft Chews, but my third cat is the pickiest cat I've ever met, she won't eat anything but her hard food. Our vet recommended we try this lysine oral gel along with Vetri-DMG Liquid. The combination of these two products has done absolute wonders for her symptoms, she is no longer sneezey and her runny/watery eyes have cleared up. I STRONGLY recommend this product to anyone whose cat has the feline herpes virus. If you have a super picky cat who won't eat treats, this is the way to go. It can be a pain in the butt sometimes bc she's not a fan of the syringe, but it's either use this product or have her be all miserable.

One of my cats was snotty for years. Our holistic vet recommended this product after the snottiness got so bad that it was causing horrible nosebleeds. I can\'t tell you how much he has improved! He gobbles it right down, mixed in with a little canned food. So thankful as he is a nightmare to get medicine down. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

wonder drug!

I have a rescue cat about 6 years now and we just always thought Oliver was destined to be a \"snotty cat\"- always sneezing and wheezing- flinging mucus everywhere when he did. Ugh! Gross! We recently switched vets and she reccommended Viralys. This stuff is like a wonder drug! What an improvment! I can\'t believe the difference! I mix it in just a bit of canned food (as he also had crystal issues so is on a dry food) and he gobbles it up and licks the dish clean. Even cries when he knows it is almost time to eat! I am thrilled!

Our cat also has the Feline Herpes virus, as she was a feral cat. She has chronic URI and her fur tends to shed really badly all year around. Our vet recommended Viralys and it\'s helped both problems. The cat loves the taste - I just mix 1/4 tsp with his wet food and he gobbles it up! Thank God for Viralys!!

It really helps!

Our cat has Feline Herpes. She got a seriously ulcerated cornea that took weeks to heal. The doctor said to start giver her this and she\'s had two minor conjunctivitis conditions but nothing like the first condition. We give it to her in a syringe. Her brother, who will eat wet food, which she won\'t, gets the powdered version in his wet food. Excellent prices here at Healthy Pets.com. Beat other prices by several dollars and they have exceptionally fast shipping!

I started giving Viralys (with a feeding syringe) several weeks ago. Runny eyes on both cats have improved a great deal. Neither cat objects to the gel. I am very pleased with it.
