Cat would not eat it

Purchased a couple of Yeowww cat toys a while back. The cat loved them. Just purchased 2 1oz bags of just catnip and the cat smelled it but would not eat any 2 days in a row. Will give it to my brother's cats, maybe they will like it. I have never bought catnip that the cat would not at least try it
