It snatches fleas off the 14-year-old, the 1-year-old dodges it.

The white comb is best, as the fleas are black and can be seen more easily. (I need a light nearby for the darker colored combs). Two recommended tools: 1.) bowl of soapy water & bowl/glass of clean water. Once caught flea(s) in comb, dip in soapy water, upon removing from water rung the teeth with thump over bowl to fling them out, Now rinse comb in clean water. Flick out water from comb. Maybe use a small towel to dry. Re-comb cat. OR 2) comb cat. Have a cigarette lighter in other hand and immediately light it, then carefully brush comb with flame once or twice. I use the second method as it is quicker. My cat quickly overcame his fear of me using the flame. It may char or leave carbon on comb. Simply wipe off, sometimes between teeth. Because comb is plastic, use fire with care as it can damage it if used too long. Either method removes & kills fleas & mites.
Catches fleas on co-operative cats. The white comb makes caught fleas easy to see. The 1-year-old female hates it & won't let me comb her. The 14-year-old male loves it. Dark colored combs help hid the fleas.

Good product!

It combed the fleas off of my dogs really well!! The only thing is that you need to have a bowl of water to drown the fleas because they often jump off and they're almost impossible to find

Exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find at any local pet stores. My cats prefer this to the metal flea combs.

These fine tooth combs are very hard to find. I love them. They work great for removing fleas as well as extra hair from my dogs. Highly recommend!
