Tartar Shield Soft Rawhide Chews for Large Dogs, 24 Ct.

My dog is a rescue. He came to me with really bad teeth and gums. I didn't want him to have to undergo dental under anesthesia so started using tartar shield daily. After just 3 weeks his mouth is so much better.

Nothing soft about it. If your dog has dental issues stay away. My dog cannot eat them. They are so hard they can break a tooth. She just looked at it and tried to bite into it and couldn't. I am glad she didn't as it could have hurt her.

These bones have become my dog's post walk favorite treat in the morning. I feel great knowing that he is getting a safe chew bone that helps his dental health. These are also large and thin enough to break in 3rds (he is a small dog).

I have two large dogs that try to swallow regular raw hide chews, causing a choking hazard. These Tartar Shield Rawhides were the answer to my problem. They love them and I feel better, safer, giving them to my babies.

They are a very healthy treat to give your dog as well do an excellent job cleaning teeth this doesn't mean that you shouldn't have your dogs teeth cleaned at least once a year, my Afghan Hound has a sensitive stomach has no problem digesting them I get the large , did get the extra large once which were too big & he did have a problem digesting them.

These come highly recommended by our vet and our pup loves them. It is tempting to let her have more than one, but the vet said "only one per day." Poor baby looks at us like "really?" We ran out before this shipment came in and I could tell a difference in her breath. We will continue to use these!

My dog's holistic Veterinarian recommended these tartar shield chews to help prevent plaque buildup. I'm not sure they've been miraculous at doing that, but my dog loves them. If they help at all, it's a win-win.

When I use these to play hide and seek when I let her out at 9pm I come up o the living room and hid one of them and when I let her back in she has to find it. She is getting really good at it and she can eat one of these 9" Rawhide Chews in les than 4min.. When I take her to the vet and she shows me Tammy's teeth and they are all white except her canines. There is a just a little tarter part way up canines because they really don't chew with them anyway. It is a savings because they want $300 just to clean her teeth and more if they have to pull some.

These chews were recommended by my dog's vet for ease of digestion and dental health. My puppy considers this his best treat. The ease of online ordering is a bonus,too.

One of our dogs cannot tolerate Greenies so we were very happy when our bet recommended these tartar chews. The dogs love them and they are not too hard for them to chew so hard pieces do not break off and get lodged in the dogs' throats. Also seem effective on plaque build up.

these are great for dogs who have worn their teeth down a bit with age.. they help reduce tartar and plaque, and are soft enough to not cause damage to teeth...( my dog broke a tooth on a hard rawhide chew)..I really like this product.. however it is incredibly pricey, and had it not been on sale, I may not have purchased.

They call these chews, but my dogs eat them in seconds. I even bought the largest size and have medium size dogs. I do think they are relatively safe, but sometimes they vomit up some Of the chewed chunks. Don't know what the answer is to a safe dental chew with good ingredients.

Our Doberman likes them so well that he opened and climbed into the closet where we keep them and ate an entire bag! I'm using a ladder now to put them on the top shelf...

My two older Corgi boys really like them! They get 1/2 a chew each daily, mostly because they aren't very active any more. This division still satisfies their chewing needs, however.

During a routine checkup, my vet told me my lab was in danger of losing both canine teeth from tartar buildup and cracked teeth. She wouldn't even clean them at the office - she sent me to the dental specialist who treats the big cats at the Phoenix Zoo. One very expensive cleaning, two root canals, and one titanium crown later, the dental specialist told me to get the large tartar shield chews as soon as I could. I had quite an investment to protect! I started using them several years ago, and the lab has not needed a cleaning since then. I give them to my Golden too (can't hurt!) and she sails through her dental exams too. Plus the dogs start drooling when I get them out of the package - no trouble getting them to eat them!
