Useful Information

One collar per animal to be fastened around the neck. Remove the collar from the bag directly before use. Unroll the collar and make sure that there are no remnants from the plastic connectors inside the collar.

  1. Insert the end of the collar through the buckle. Adjust the collar around the animal's neck without tightening it too tight or leaving it too loose.
  2. As a guide, it should be possible to only insert 2 fingers comfortably between the collar and the neck.
  3. Pull excess collar through the loop(s). Excess collar length of greater than 1 inch (2 cm) beyond the loop(s) should be cut off unless it is on a growing kitten, where some additional length may be needed for adjustment as the animal grows.
  4. After application of the collar, three reflector clips may be fixed permanently to the collar to increase the animal's visibility in the dark. Take the clips out of the bag. The clips should be evenly distributed on the non-overlapping part of the collar. The clips are correctly applied when a clicking sound is heard. For safety reasons, once the reflectors are fixed to the collar the clasp closes permanently and cannot be re-opened.

Video Example of Collar Application

The collar should be worn continuously for the 8 month protection period. Check periodically and adjust fit if necessary, especially when kittens are rapidly growing. Rarely, mild application site reactions may occur, such as scratching, redness, and hair loss, which usually recover within 1-2 weeks without the need for collar removal. In some cases, temporary collar removal and bathing may be recommended until symptoms have disappeared. In very rare cases, application site reactions, such as dermatitis, inflammation, eczema or lesions may occur. In these instances, immediately. If your animal is on medication, consult your veterinarian before using this or any other product.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not contaminate feed or food.

Occasional slight itching may be observed in animals that are not used to wearing collars in the first few days after fitting. Ensure that the collar is not fitted too tightly (You should be able to place two fingers between the collar and your cat). Slight hair loss and mild skin reactions due to the mechanical irritation of the collar may occur at the application site which usually recover within 1 or 2 weeks without the need for collar removal. For further guidance regarding individual animal sensitivities. In case of loss of collar, a new collar may be applied immediately. Do not attach a leash to the collar as this may cause breakage.

Storage Directions

Keep the collar in the bag and in the outer packaging until use. As with any pesticide product, do not allow small children to play with the collar or reflectors, or to put them into their mouths. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and cold water after fitting the collar. People with sensitivity reactions to the ingredients of the collar should avoid contact with the collar. Choking hazard. Contains small parts. Do not place collar or reflectors in mouth. Not intended for use on humans.

works well but be careful

After following directions in the package my 2 cats wore it for only 3 days. It caused major irritation on their necks, their hair fell out under the collar and the skin is quite raw. Worked well but unable to tolerate. Very expensive 3 day treatment.
Watch out for skin irritation.

Great Flea Collars

This is my 2nd purchase of these collars. They work! No fleas last season. I love the reflectors on the collar also. You can see them even on my long haired cats. I love that they last 8 months. My cats don't appear to have any rejection to these collars. I have 3 cats.

We put one on each of our three cats with ease. Gave each a bath with dry shampoo then put on collar. Cats are much happier as evidence with their increased calmness and less scratching.
Easy to apply, reflectors on collar, long lasting???

Excellent Choice for Flea and Tick Protection
April 7, 2016
I tried Soresto for the first time about two years ago when I accidentally got some FrontLine on my hand and felt how much it burned my skin. I vowed I would not use a topical on my cats or dogs again. The product is no mess and has not caused irritation on any of my pets. The fact that it last 8 months also makes it a great buy vs. the topicals. Haven't had a flea or tick on any of my three pets since I started using.
Cost effective, non-irritating option for flea and tick prevention. None for the cat version of this product; dog version only comes in small or large -- wish they would offer a medium size collar as I wind up cutting significant portion to fit my dog.

I decided to try the Seresto Flea & Tick Collar as Advantage wasn't working on my cat. I've used Seresto on my dog and she did well with the collar.
