Description
Recommended for the vaccination of healthy dogs 6 weeks of age and older for prevention of disease due to canine distemper virus, canine parvovirus, canine adenovirus type 1 ( canine hepatitis), canine adenovirus type 2 ( canine respiratory disease complex), and canine parainfluenza virus.
Dosage
Reconstitute the lyophilized vaccine with accompanying liquid and aseptically inject 1 ml (1 dose) subcutaneously or intramuscularly into healthy dogs. For primary vaccination, revaccinate with a second 1 ml dose 2 to 3 weeks later. Dogs younger than 12 weeks of age should be revaccinated with a single 1 ml dose every 2- 3 weeks, the last dose given at or over 12 weeks of age. Revaccinate annually with a single 1 ml dose.

I am a wildlife rehabber and this is the only vaccine I use in combination with the feline purevax. I have used these two vaccines for several years now with ex. results!

Recombitek does NOT give adequate parvo protection!

I trusted Merial, who claimed their vaccine protects puppies from parvovirus. I trusted Santa Cruz Biotechnology who claim the same. I trusted the AVMA web site which states Merial vaccines ARE effective against Parvo 2c. They are ALL WRONG! We lost spring and fall litters to parvo one year, and spring litters the following year, all from trusting Merial's Recombitek for parvo, and from trusting Santa Cruz Biotechnology, and also from trusting the AVMA. We had 13 years of a successful breeding program. Our 14th year, while we were using Merial's Recombitek vaccines for parvo protection, we were utterly destroyed emotionally and financially. Of course, Merial can say we did something wrong, however, how can they explain 13 years of success if we're so incompetent? Now we're using Duramune for parvo protection with perfect success so far. Whatever you do, DO NOT RELY ON RECOMBITEK FOR PARVO PROTECTION!
