Zymox Oratene Drinking Water Additive
This flavorless concentrate is added daily to drinking water to provide the safest, healthiest way to conveniently keep teeth clean without brushing. Features two patented enzyme systems: the LP3 Enzyme System AND the MD2 Enzyme System (Mutanase + Dextranase).Together, they effectively inhibit odor-causing bacteria and reduce plaque biofilm formation by rendering plaque water soluable and unable to bind to the tooth. This combination of patented enzyme systems creates a comprehensive oral care system with antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Ingredients
Glycerin, Sorbitol, Purified Water, Potassium Sorbate, Rosemary Extract, Sodium Chloride, Zinc Chloride, Lactoperoxidase, Mutanase, Lysozyme, Lactoferrin, Glucose Oxidase, Dextranase, Potassium Thiocyanate.
Useful Information
Shake well, add 2 pumps per approx. 1 qt. (4 cups fo drinking water. For maximum effextiveness, add to fresh drinking water daily.

Brushless Effectiveness

I have been using Zymox Oratene Drinking Water Additive for a number of years with both of my dogs. One dog is 15 years old this month. She is a rescue dog that I have had for only 9 years and her teeths have been only once and that was when I got her. My Husky is 5 years old and I have use Oratene with him all of those years with needing his teeth cleaned by the vet during these years yet. I only rely on Oratene and diet to clean their teeth. (They both love their fresh vegetables, especially baby carrots!)
One squirt in the water dish in the morning is all it takes. No brushing along with a good diet to naturally clean their teeth. I buy two 8 oz. bottles at a time, keeping one by each of the dogs kennels.
I know of no negatives.

Really Helps, Easier Alternative to Brushing

was originally introduced to this product by my vet. Goes under the name Biotene also.
Easy, 2 pumps into water bowl. Stretches out dental cleanings with the vet. Does not contain alcohol as some other products do, such as oral gels.
Not sold in retail stores that I know of. Worth ordering online though.

Helps get rid of bad breath

Have used in my cats water bowl for about a year now. It does help to get rid of bad breath. Also my cats never noticed it had been added to their water. I would recommend this product to help take care of cat's teeth.

This stuff Really Works!

Our one cat has gingivitis and had a bad infection which we had to give antibiotics twice a day for a month, he started eating again and is himself now, our Vet sold us this product to help keep the virus at bay and so far it has worked very well. We are very please with results and now we are giving it to all our dogs and cats as a preventative measure to help keep away the plaque and bad breath, it working great

This really works

I got this from my vet for $20. It took a little less than a week to see results but the first obvious sign it was working was that both my dogs bad breath disappeared. It is easy to use and lasts a pretty long time. I highly recommend this product.
