HealthyPets, Announces Appointment of James Young as Global Chief Executive Officer

HealthyPets, Inc., one of the leading privately held online and retail Pet Supply companies, has announced James Young as the new Global Chief Executive Officer.

Since 1999, Healthypets has been recognized for offering pet medications and pet supplies for lower prices than traditional retailers and will match prices with any US-based retailer selling U.S. Environmental Protection Agency/Food and Drug Administration approved pet products.

James Young brings decades of experience in the Online and the Pet Industry. He is eager to implement new strategies to tackle the growing international market and improve operations with new technology.

In February 2015, the company opened a third location in Newark, California, which includes offices, manufacturing, and warehousing. In 2017, a fourth location was also opened next to the Headquarters in Union City, California.

This announcement follows the launch of a new product called Mycogen to their Pet Health Solutions supplement line. Mycogen for Dogs uses the natural power of mushrooms to help support your dog's immune system. Mushrooms contain powerful antioxidants that help fight off and prevent infection.

According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), the estimated spend in the Pet Industry in 2017 is estimated to be $69.36 Billion Dollars with Pet Food being the largest category.
