Caution: Remove the collar before shampooing your cat and replace it after the cat's coat is dry. do not us collar on cats with extensive skin lesions.

Useful Information

Place collar around pet's neck, adjust to fit cat's neck comfortably. The collar must be worn loosely to allow for growth of the pet and to permit the collar to move about the neck. Generally a properly fitted collar is one that when fastened, will snugly slide over pet's head. Leave 2 or 3 inches for extra adjustment. Cut off the excess portion of the collar. The collar is designed to release powder when applied, which will activate the pheromones. When fresh collar is stretch out it may show an excess of powder. This excess powder is primarily a carrier for the pheromones and is not harmful to the pet. Wash hands after placing collar on pet. Seal collar in plastic bag when not in use to prolong effectiveness.

Cat had a terrible reaction
May 4, 2018
We purchased this collar because ever since we adopted a new dog last September, our cat has been skittish and has largely relegated herself to our basement. The dog does not chase the cat - the cat created this fear of the new dog all on her own. I had a pet sitting client that uses this collar on her cat, so I thought I would give it a try. After the collar had been on for a few days, we realized our cat had lost a bunch of hair on her neck and the skin was red and irritated. We removed the collar, and her skin eventually healed after a few weeks and the hair is now growing back. I just want to make sure people are aware that some cats may have a negative reaction to this collar.
Merchant Response:Jody, that sounds terrabible. I hope your cat can learn to cope with the new canine roommate. Since collars may irritate too much, have you tried a plug in? Feliway plugins are used at groomers, vet clinics and boarding facilities. It%u2019s our #1 cat calming product and has great reviews. Wishing you all the best!
