How Does it Work? - To answer this question, we must ask how calamine lotion, the medical industry's most popular anti-pruritic, reduces itching. Calamine lotion, used since antiquity (Egyptian development), is zinc-based. Centuries ago, natural mineral deposits containing zinc carbonate were used for the zinc source. Today, a variety of zinc salts (zinc acetate, etc.) are used to manufacture calamine lotion. The zinc in calamine lotion offers modest bioavailability. great for healing sores from scratching and chewing

I first got this product from my vet. and they told me it was excellent for healing and they weren't kidding. My lab. has the leaky gut due to her medicine and shots. She would scratch and chew until she was raw. This spray controls itch and heals at the same time.
She was so bad on her back and sides that I poured it on her. It helped her itching right away and cleared her sores up. I am still dealing with the leaking gut but this spray makes her life bearable..
easy to use and no odor.
