    Great Treat!

My Mr."Picky-pants," 8 year old kitty, hates almost everything. I've tried dried foods in every flavor, shape, size and brand; no go. I used to boil up chicken and cut it in small pieces for him, but I didn't feel that was giving him all the nutrients he needed. Fortunately, he will now eat one other kind of food in a small can. Then I went through the same procedure with treats for him. I just got tired of wasting money on trying various ones. Then my daughter bought him Catswell Vitakitty Chicken Breast Treats as a Christmas gift. TA-DA! He went wild for it. That was a couple of years ago. I had wanted something that was good for his teeth and it looked like I got both my wishes. As I mentioned, that was a couple of years ago, and although he still likes it, he only eats it now if he's hungry in between meals. Why? Well, when I first started buying it, it was softer and chewy. Now it's really hard! Kind of like trying to chew a thick fingernail! Yuk. It's also long pieces. I used to cut the softer ones with a scissors so he wouldn't choke on them if he didn't chew them right. Now I have to cut them with a super sharp, curved blade on a cutting board. I don't know what happened. I gave this product 4 stars because my cat still likes it as a sometimes treat, but I'm the one who isn't as pleased as I used to be.
Healthful because of the flax and my cat adores having a snack that he likes. Very long pieces that the package even warns you about....keeping your eye on your cat. That's so he/she doesn't choke on the long, tough pieces. I think they should make the pieces shorter so they wouldn't have to be cut for safety's sake. Also, to make them softer like they used to be.
