  • Description Description

CHOLODIN contains sources of choline and posphatidylcholine, two of the most common phospholipids.

When present in sufficient dietary quantities, these components act as neurotransmitter precursors, which are chemicals manufactured and released by nerve cells that initiate the sending of "messages" from those cells.

Occasionally, geriatric dogs and cats display clinical signs unexplainable by a specific pathological diagnosis. Examples include:

  • Lethargy and reduced awareness of surroundings.
  • Poor coat; excessive shedding or thin, dry coat.
  • Chronic constipation or fecal incontinence.
  • Inappropriate urination.
  • Poor appetite; animal eats too little to maintain an adequate body weight.
  • Poor mental acuity.
  • For animals displaying one or more of these conditions, choline supplementation with CHOLODIN may be a very effective aid in treatment.

    CHOLODIN has four major functions:

    1. It is a significant dietary factor in preventing fatty-liver syndrome in diabetic dogs.
    2. It can donate methyl groups needed to synthesize other compounds.
    3. It is necessary for acetyl-choline formation.
    4. It is a component of phospolipid and lecithin, and a constituent of plasmalogens, which are abundant in mitochondria and in sphingomyelin, found particularly in the brain.

Formulated with a flavor base (Pork Liver Meal).

Terrible company. Waited over 1 month for a product. I received zero updates from the company. No notice the product was on backorder before I ordered. No response from email either. Avoid this company like the Plague.

My dog has been diagnosed with bladder cancer so I can't say this works - I can say theres a small inprovement on the tablet. We arent able to fully dose her at this time but once we get her issue in remission I am looking forward to continuing. She likes the tablet - eats it like a cookie:)

    • Great company to work with.

    • Works for night terrors

My 14 year old pomeranian started having night terrors. It is the worse thing to hear in the middle of the night - your dog screaming (not barking or growling...but screaming in his sleep) 3 x a night. His vet recommended cholodin tablets once a day as a startting point. If they didn't work, then we'd try something else and work our way up to prescription meds. It's been 3 weeks and cholodin has reduced his night terrors from 3x night to once a week at the most!! Plus he LOVES them. They taste like liver (and give him disgusting breath) but he thinks they are treats.

We have been using Cholodin for over 1 year (after a suggestion from Joe at Shades of Gray and Southwestern PA Labrador Rescue). This product really works wonders. Our 4 yr old Lab and 13 yr old Border Collie have a lot of energy and play all the time. Our 15 1/2 year old Redbone Coon hound mix is still getting around really well. She has severe arthritis in her front legs and gets around better today than 1 year ago. I highly recommend Cholodin to everyone, no matter what age your dog is. All 3 eat it right out of my hand like a treat. Thank you so much, Kim Lang, Pittsburgh PA
